Beavertail Vest
 The Beavertail Vest is designed to keep you warm when you need to sit still on
a cold day. It does that by super-insulating your body core. If you drastically reduce the
heat loss from your head and body core, you end up feeling warmer all over. This puts the
insulating bulk where it is most needed, leaving your arms free to handle your weapon.
The Omnitherm outer layer is lined with an extra thick hydrophobic pile. Sandwiched
between these two layers is a layer of thinsulate for added loft. The vest is cut a full
3/4 length but the tail is cut even longer to prevent kidney chill and to soften your
seat. The Beavertail Vest comes with two cargo/hand warmer pockets and the cargo pockets
come with built in shell loops. During a cold sit, just zip up the stove pipe collar that
is designed to fit over the flaps of your Bomber Hat for a warm, no-draft seal. The
Beavertail Vest is the perfect choice for late season stands but staying awake might be a
