Hunting Gifts

There are two ways of looking at a hunting gift. One way is to see it as something a loved one gives a hunter before they go out. A new hat, binoculars, or even some boots to help with the hunt and let the hunter know that even if he isn’t with you, you are still thinking about him. The other way to look at a hunting gift is from the “deer hunt widow” perspective. In places with a big hunting population, women’s events will be put together for the week of the hunt to give the wives of hunters something to do. A hunting gift in those terms would be something a hunter gives to the loved one he is leaving behind. After all, if you’re heading off to do something you love, it’s thoughtful to get something for the person you’re leaving behind to do it.

Some of the best hunting gifts of this type are activity based. Get your wife a massage, or a day at a spa. Tickets to a show, or even just a dinner out for her and one of her girl friends is a great way to show your appreciation for all she does for you.
